An Altered State Of Mind (2018)
Series: CDT Sermons

Scripture Text: 1 Thess. 5: 4-11

Whether it be alcohol, marijuana, or some other drug of choice; many use these substances to alter their state of mind in hopes to temporarily escape the cares of reality.

As believers in Jesus Christ, we must be alert and ready to stand against the devil's evil schemes. Trying to alter our mindset, as the world does, would leave us vulnerable to his attacks.

Instead as a much better alternative, we must look to filling ourselves with the Holy Spirit, having the mind of Christ!

Tune in to Pastor Twymon's stirring and timely message as he explains the benefits of fixing our minds on the things above rather than the things on this earth.

    Scripture Text: John 19:16-18

Not long ago, most of life's conveniences included some type of middle man. Full service gas stations, clerks at the grocery store, cashiers at the bank.  However, with the advance of modern technology, many of these positions have become obsolete.

This is not the case when it comes to our salvation. Through man's disobedience, redemption could only be attained by a perfect sacrifice.... the ultimate middle man. Tune in to Pastor Twymon's poignant sermon as he explains how mankind was in dire need for the man in the middle.

    What The Problem Is? (2018)
    Series: CDT Sermons

    Scripture Text: Luke 6:46

Don't let the title throw you off... That question was worded that way for a purpose.  Instead of saying "What is your problem?",  sometimes there is more impact when you hear "What the problem is?".  In some urban areas, you are quicker to get a response from the latter phrasing.

In all seriousness, this a a very valid question. For many of us who confess to be followers of Christ, why do we have such a difficult time following His commandments? The Bible makes it very plain throughout scripture that if we love God, we ought to keep His commandments.

Tune in as Pastor Twymon expounds on this powerful question and what he believes is the root of the problem. This message will hit home ask we ask ourselves: What the problem is?!

    Fallen Soldiers (2018)
    Series: CDT Sermons

    Scripture Text: 2 Timothy 2: 1-4

In light of Memorial Day weekend, we are reminded of the many men and woman that have given their lives in service for our country. These heroes have stood face to face with our countries enemies, for the sake of freedom.

Much in the same way, we as Christians are soldiers who are engaged in spiritual warfare against the enemies of Christ. Those enemies are the world, the devil and the flesh.

The Bible clearly tells us put on the armor of God and to stand our ground. However, there are many that have fallen by the wayside.

As you listen to this wonderful message by our Pastor, take a self-examination and ask yourself.... "Am I a fallen soldier?"
