Tune in as Pastor Twymon gives us food for thought when it comes to Thanksgiving and our attitude of gratitude. As you reflect on your life, make sure you take time to tell God "thank you".  More importantly, make sure to follow up your sentiment with a life that reflects gratefulness.

Out On A Limb For Jesus (2020)
    Series: CDT Sermons

    Scripture Text: Luke 19: 1-6

To go "out on a limb" for something or someone signifies that you are putting yourself in a vulnerable or risky position. That is exactly what Jesus did for us by going to the cross for our sins. Jesus endured the cross for our sake even though He would suffer much pain and persecution.

In today's sermon, Pastor Twymon challenges us to examine our faith as believers.  Are you willing to go out on a limb for Jesus? Are you willing to stand up for the cause of Christ? One thing is for sure, whatever risk is associated with standing for Christ will not compare to the reward we will receive in heaven.

    Scripture Text: Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14

Why are we here? What is our purpose for living? Many have ventured through life in search for answers to these questions. Pastor Twymon invites us to take a different look at these questions.

We must look at this life, with the afterlife in mind. What we do on this earth is preparation for our final destination.

Where will you spend eternity?  As you listen, please keep in mind that a life without Christ... is a life wasted.

    Looking Beyond Danger (2020)
    Series: CDT Sermons

    Scripture Text: 2 Kings 6: 15-17

As believers, we can trust in God's ability to keep us in times of trouble. As we trust in Him, we can look past the problems in our lives and focus on His great and precious promises. Operating in this type of faith allows us to put away worry and live a life of good works to the glory of God.

It is our prayer that this message from Pastor Twymon encourages you to put your trust in God. Jesus looked beyond the hardship of the cross to see our need for salvation. All you need to do is open your heart to His commands and then open your eyes to His provision.

    How Is Your House? (2020)
    Series: CDT Sermons

    Scripture Text: Matthew 12: 43-45

In the previous sermon, "Building On a Sure Foundation", we are called to examine the foundation on which we build our lives. That foundation is none other than the saving grace of Jesus Christ.  Now that the foundation is secure, we must be careful to build according to the blueprint of God's Word.  So naturally Pastor Twymon begins this sermon with a poignant question... How is your house? This is a question we must all ask ourselves as believers.  If you are unsure, tune in to this message and get a clearer picture.

Building On The Sure Foundation (2020)
    Series: CDT Sermons

    Scripture Text: 1 Corinthians 3:9-16

Every structure you see, whether it be a house or tall skyscraper, is constructed on a foundation beneath the ground. The strength of the building lies in its foundation because it holds the structure above it and keeps it upright. If the foundation is not well constructed, the building will soon begin to crack and fall apart.  This foundation principle also applies in the life of the believer.

In today's message, Pastor Twymon eloquently illustrates the parallel of a sure foundation in the life of the believer. In order to stand firm and upright, we need our lives built on the truth of Jesus Christ.  As you listen, take inventory of yourself and consider the foundation you have built for your life. If not Christ, you are surely on sinking sand!

This Is Only A Test (2020)
    Series: CDT Sermons

    Scripture Text: Genesis 22: 1-8

In today's message Pastor Twymon calls on the historical account of Abraham. Abraham's love and obedience to God brought him to a place where he would be asked to sacrifice his only son, Isaac. Fortunately, Isaac's life was spared as God provided a ram for the sacrifice. As it turns out, it was a test of Abraham's faith.

Much of what has transpired in 2020 has been a test of faith for many believers. It is in the test that God makes provision for us, just as he did for Abraham. Remember, as you tune in, not to lose hope and remain steadfast in the Lord. The reward in the end will be worth it.

    This Far By Faith (2020)
    Series: CDT Sermons

    Scripture Text: Romans 10:8-17

Macedonia celebrates 100 years of existence as a church. This is a remarkable milestone especially considering there have only be 3 pastors since the church was organized. Our church has been blessed to have 3 strong leaders throughout its history. Even more impressive is the fact that all 3 pastors are of the same family. Pastor Twymon has been leading the flock for the last 40 years!

As amazing as all of this is, Pastor Twymon reminds us that Macedonia's longevity can only be credited to the power of God. We have come this far by faith in Him and it is by His grace that we continue to strive for the cause of Christ.

As you listen to the message, we ask you to continue to pray that God will continue to get the glory from our congregation and all those churches around the world that continue to be a beacon of light in a dark world.

    The Christian Workout (2020)
    Series: CDT Sermons

    Scripture Text: 1 Tim 4:7-8

Any effective exercise regimen will cause fatigue, uncomfortable feelings and muscle soreness (especially in the case of those new to working out). However, these side effects are necessary for the body to grow stronger and change into the shape that we desire.

In order for Christians to grow stronger in faith, we must workout our salvation as the Bible commands. As we workout our faith in this life, we will experience many of the same side effects of exercise... fatigue, uncomfortable feelings and even pain.

Tune in as Pastor Twymon expounds on this thought, and gives us the keys to an effective Christian workout. Remember that our sufferings in this life cannot be compared to the glory God has for us in heaven!

    Oh To Be Kept (2020)
    Series: CDT Sermons

    Scripture Text: John 17: 9-12

To be a "kept" man or woman is to be dependent on someone else through financial means.  In contrast, a "kept" Christian is completely dependent on God for everything in life and not merely material gain.  God keeps us by His power through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.  In times as troubling as these, it is important that we are in God's capable keeping hands.

Tune in as Pastor Twymon further explains the benefit of being kept by an Almighty God. His forgiving grace has saved us from a state of total depravity to a life of salvation by the blood of Jesus Christ.

    Scripture Text: 2 Timothy 2:19-21

Believe it or not, God has used our life's hardships and experiences to prepare us for upcoming trials. Even now, through, this pandemic and rise of social unrest, God is using these trying times to prepare us and teach us. Our preparation is not just for facing trials, but He prepares our hearts and minds to be set on our eternity in heaven.

Tune in as Pastor Twymon expounds on this thought of preparation. For the believer, to be with Jesus in heaven is our ultimate destination. Are you prepared to meet the Lord when the time comes? If not, there is time... but tomorrow is not promised.

When was the last time you have shown an act of kindness to someone else? Can you recall the last time you committed a selfless act in the name of our Savior? It is during the time of crisis, you will see the best (and worse) of people. It is important for us, as Christians, to be mindful to demonstrate grace and kindness towards others because of the grace and mercy that has been extended to us.

Tune in as Pastor Twymon expounds on this thought with the example of King David's kindness towards Mephibosheth. King David demonstrated the same grace that Jesus Christ has given to us. Thank God for His grace and mercy!

Now, more than ever, we are facing waves of misinformation from our media and social outlets. Our search for truth on political, social and religious issues are often met with countless opinions and misguided information. So where do we go to find truth?

In Pastor Twymon's sermon, we find that Jesus' disciples understood that absolute Truth was staring them right in the face. So when Jesus asked his disciples if they will leave Him, they asked the perfect question in response... "To whom shall we go?". As you tune in to this message, remember that Jesus Christ is the embodiment of truth. He is the one that can navigate us through the weeds of misinformation into the perfect clarity of His Salvation.

    Scripture Text: Daniel 3:16-18

Everyday we are bombarded with information meant to mold our point of view. Whether conservative or liberal, there is no shortage of propaganda geared to influence our social and spiritual outlook. Christians must be diligent and mindful on keeping the Word of God as our central point of view.

Pastor Twymon is very intentional on reminding us that we must take a stand on the Word of God and refrain from allowing the world to influence our thoughts. Just like the Hebrew Boys understood, we can confidently take a stand for righteousness because we serve an able God!
