Doing A Right Thing In A Wrong Way (2019)
Series: CDT Sermons

Scripture Text: Genesis 3: 2-7

Many of us are motivated to do what is considered the "right thing".  But what kind of consequences do we suffer, when well-intentions are laced with wrong actions?  When we use our own moral code to determine right, we will often fall short.

Listen as Pastor Twymon takes us on a journey from the beginning of creation to today to illustrate what can happen when we try to do a right thing in a wrong way.

    A Letter From Hell (2019)
    Series: CDT Sermons

    Scripture Text: Luke 16: 27-31

The greatest lie that Satan ever told is that there is no God, no heaven and no hell. What's even more confounding is that there are preachers within the church that refute the existence of hell.  However, the Bible plainly speaks of hell and it's existence multiple times.

Tune into to this important message from our Pastor as he gives a lesson on hell. You can almost consider it "Hellology 101".

Hell is only a place for those who do not accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. If you have not accepted Jesus, be afraid... be very afraid.

    Series: CDT Sermons

    Scripture Text: Joshua 24: 14-15

For Black History Month, Pastor Twymon addresses the state of the black family and the role of the church. We are now experiencing the role of the father, as viewed by the world, taking a wrong turn. Even worse, is that in many homes, the father is non-existent. However, it is good to know that God's plan for the family remains unchanged.

Tune in with Pastor Twymon as he takes you on a personal journey sharing his experience raising his own children. He has stood firm as a leader and example from which we could all take heed. His personal stance is like that of Joshua saying, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!"

    Without Excuse (2019)
    Series: CDT Sermons

    Scripture Text: Romans 1: 16-20

If most of us are honest, we have all used excuses from time to time to shift blame or get out of a tight situation. As a matter of fact, people can get very creative when it comes to excuses. Pastor Twymon illustrates in his sermon that excuses are "the skin of a reason stuffed with a lie".... pretty powerful definition.

Tune in to this dynamic sermon as Pastor illustrates the fact that God, through His magnificent splendor and Creation, has left us without any excuse when it comes to belief. What excuses are you using to keep from serving God wholeheartedly?

    Scripture Text: 1 Thess. 5: 4-11

Whether it be alcohol, marijuana, or some other drug of choice; many use these substances to alter their state of mind in hopes to temporarily escape the cares of reality.

As believers in Jesus Christ, we must be alert and ready to stand against the devil's evil schemes. Trying to alter our mindset, as the world does, would leave us vulnerable to his attacks.
